accommodating with refreshments and reception is even more pleasurable because even
after just a few visits everyone knew my name and greeted me with a smile. Once in "the
chair" you are treated with a massage pad that you lay on the entire time. It is the most
relaxing place to get your teeth cleaned or worked on! I have gotten the best customer
service ever, and that is hard to come by now days. Usually there are long waits and
rushing around everywhere and the dentist doesn't take the time to visit. Here Dr. Prager
actually takes the time to visit with you in a professional manner, in the office, not while

"I would recommend Invisalign to anybody who wants straight teeth without metal
wire in their mouth."
After having a large gap in between my front teeth for 18 years, I figured it was time to visit a
dentist. I chose Dr. Prager simply because he did WHAT I WANTED! Other dentists wanted
to straighten my top and bottom teeth…even though I didn’t want my bottom teeth
straightened; I didn’t feel the need. Dr. Prager gave me Invisalign and after that I could feel
and notice a difference after the first week, but the cool thing was, nobody could see them. I
would recommend Invisalign to anybody who wants straight teeth without metal wire in their
mouth. It’s really easy and for the most part painless.

I can honestly say that Invisalign braces were much easier and made a bigger difference
than I ever anticipated. Wearing the braces is truly invisible and very few people noticed
during the 18 months I wore them. There were also a couple of unanticipated side effects.
First, I always had difficulty flossing my teeth like I knew I should. Taking out the liners to
eat, however, really motivated me to clean and floss my teeth every single time before I put
them back in. Now I can’t imagine not flossing before I put the retainer liners in every night.
Also, wearing the liners kept me from snacking because it was too much trouble to remove
the braces, eat a piece of candy of something I shouldn’t have eaten anyway, clean my
teeth, and put the liners back in. So Invisalign was a good diet control for 18 months, and it
remains easy for me not to eat between meals.
It probably goes without saying that Invisalign braces resulted in a change for the better in

surgery you performed on October 17th.
Imagine how totally depressing the thought of yet another "traditional" surgery was to me at
my initial exam with you. I'd gone that route: 20 hours of surgery to remove portions of my
gums (full mouth, mind you), a skin graft from the top of my mouth, and five months of pain
and "modified" eating! At the age of 60, I wasn't looking forward to it one bit.
So, when you mentioned LANAP, I thought I'd put my "research team" on it. Teresa (my
"team"), my wife, began with the video on your web site and then did a great deal more
reading. What we learned made us both excited. Could it be true that you could not only
stop the damage that was occurring but actually reverse it?
There were more than enough positives to the procedure: Little pain, little bleeding, less
recovery time, fewer follow-up visits and even the cost ... much less expensive than my
previous traditional surgery. And in contrast, there also plenty of negatives to not getting it
done. I know the health risks associated with gum problems and while I'm fortunate that I've
not experienced any thus far, I know that the potential exists. I was more concerned when

My recovery was both better than I expected and substantially faster than my original oral
surgery over 15 years ago. Best of all, you were able to complete the surgery for my entire
mouth in just over half a day versus the four 5-hour appointments for each quadrant that I
had to endure previously.
While I was happy with how it went, I was anxious to hear how you perceived its success
based on my post-op appointments. I was completely blown away with your comments on
how well I was doing. With continued vigilance on my part, I think I'll have this under control.

Dr. Prager assured me that things were not as hopeless as they may have seemed. He
told me about the LANAP procedure and how this revolutionary new laser could
actually re-grow bone and tissue that had been destroyed by the bacteria that had
been growing unchecked in my mouth. Essentially the laser could remove and
reverse the extensive damage of the disease. Also appealing was that this procedure
was nearly painless with little post-op recovery time.
Talk about fate. It was on the recommendation of a friend that I called upon Dr. Prager to
evaluate many years of avoiding dental care, bad habits and a vigorously grinding jaw. I
expected to hear that my loose teeth, bleeding gums and bad breath would call for drastic
measures. I am in my 30’s and it was devastating to think that I could lose teeth. Also that I
could have let things deteriorate to this level. I also expected to be harshly criticized for the
state of my teeth. Things could not have been more different.
Overall Dr. Prager was very supportive and did an excellent job explaining what was
happening in my mouth. He showed me the x-rays, visual aids and even the actual

told me about the LANAP procedure and how this revolutionary new laser could
actually re-grow bone and tissue that had been destroyed by the bacteria that had
been growing unchecked in my mouth. Essentially the laser could remove and
reverse the extensive damage of the disease. Also appealing was that this procedure
was nearly painless with little post-op recovery time.
Talk about fate. It was on the recommendation of a friend that I called upon Dr. Prager to
evaluate many years of avoiding dental care, bad habits and a vigorously grinding jaw. I
expected to hear that my loose teeth, bleeding gums and bad breath would call for drastic
measures. I am in my 30’s and it was devastating to think that I could lose teeth. Also that I
could have let things deteriorate to this level. I also expected to be harshly criticized for the
state of my teeth. Things could not have been more different.
Overall Dr. Prager was very supportive and did an excellent job explaining what was
happening in my mouth. He showed me the x-rays, visual aids and even the actual
bacteria. I had lost a significant amount of bone and gum tissue and I was in an advanced
stage of gum disease. My teeth and gums were twice my age, YIKES! My condition was
bad but he reassured me that things could still be much worse. He spoke of the
conventional options that I may have had to choose from had I randomly chosen another
doctor. Conventional options would not cure this disease but only keep it in check.
Fortunately I was especially lucky that fate and Dr. Prager allowed me to avoid the most
extreme, the painful cutting and stitching of gum surgery.
Dr. Prager assured me that things were not as hopeless as they may have seemed. He
told me about the LANAP procedure and how this revolutionary new laser could actually

go back, to get the chance to improve my condition rather than live with what I had let
happen. It’s not too often that we get a chance to turn back the clock, I was in.
It was really in no time after the laser procedure that I was feeling relatively normal.
Now 6 months following the procedure, I no longer have bleeding gums and the bad
breath is in check.
At my last post-treatment visit my hopes have been realized when my gums were re-
checked. The deep pockets of disease appear to have been removed and the gum and
bone tissue is re-growing. It really is phenomenal what the laser was able to do. It went
beyond what I was really expecting. It was fate that I walked into Dr. Prager’s office at the
same time that this revolutionary new procedure had made its way to Bellingham. When I
expected the worst, he immediately gave me hope and then delivered. I would recommend

About 16 years ago I had traditional periodontal surgery. Over the years after the surgery
I lost 2 more teeth. The surgery had shortened my gums to make cleaning easier, but did

and discomfort that began about five years ago when I had two crowns put on that
apparently never fit correctly. I have been to a periodontist who asked me if I ground my
teeth. When I replied,” I don’t think so”, he left it at that. Instead he should have said
“YES, YOU GRIND YOUR TEETH!” (How am I supposed to know when I live alone!) He
then proceeded to cut my gums down to the jaw bone and told me to see a regular
dentist. I did. A DMD. She wanted to remake my whole mouth and also sent me to a
maxillofacial surgeon who told me the only way he could fix my bite was to cut my jaw in
half and then put it back together along with braces and a retainer I would have to wear
for the rest of my life. NOT!
The journey continued… the next dentist I went to see could not begin to tell me why my
bite was off and insisted it had always been that way. I told her I think I would know if for
50 years I could not bite a sandwich or into an apple! The next dentist could not tell me
why I had the problem either, however did suggest a night guard. But, she also asked
“why are you in such a hurry ?” to get the necessary work done on my teeth that needed
to be done after telling me I had a “dead” tooth and an abcess under another and an
infection on yet another. I have been eating on only one side of my mouth for years and in
great discomfort, but why the hurry???? She too sent me to see yet another maxillofacial
surgeon who in turn decided he could not treat me. I fired them both. Somewhere in
between I sought the consult of two other dentists and not one of them responded as you
did.
“EMERGENCY” “ IMMEDIATELY” “ WE CAN NOT WAIT” “ YOU ARE ONE OF A KIND” “In
30 years I have never seen anything like this!” I left your office that day (with my NTI) in
tears. This time tears of joy that I had finally found someone who “GOT IT” and realized
how miserable I was.

I have always had excellent dental coverage plans, went to get work done on my teeth
regularly and followed instructions. Several years ago, I had a minor gum surgery which
resulted in serious gum shrinkage. I began having my teeth cleaned every three to four
months. The technique used to involve sharp prongs and water flushing which usually
resulted in swallowing huge amounts of what I assume was bacteria-laden water and very
sore, tender gums from the probes. Frequently my gums would just quieten down when it
was time to go for another cleaning. I pestered my dentist with request for alternative
and different solutions but he had none.
Six months after our dental coverage was terminated because of retirement, my dentist
advised me that he did not know what to do with my teeth anymore because they were in
an awful condition. Except for the fact that I was now personally responsible for all of my
own payment, this was probably a life-saving wake-up moment for me.
It was like a miracle that I heard Dr. Prager’s ad on the radio. I made an appointment, and
proceeded with the treatments. My situation was examined and Dr. Prager explained the
procedure and what was to be done for correction. I think I was (am) one of his most
challenging cases!
I was astonished at how easy it was for me! There was no pain! During the longer
appointments I even caught myself almost falling asleep! Dr. Prager and his staff are
amazing! They are very friendly, quiet, efficient and fast! My follow-up appointments are
showing great results and healing and I am so grateful for expertise available. My only
